History
Lodge Group of School started as The Lodge Preparatory School and Kindergarten in 1953 to serve the educational needs of British expatriates' children in Kuching. It was housed at The Masonic Lodge, Batu Lintang, Kuching, then moved to The Sarawak Club, then to Pearse Road in 1969. It finally moved to its present site in Tabuan Jaya in 1984. English was the medium of instruction then.
In 1985, in line with the Malaysian National Education Policy, the Bahasa Malaysia stream was introduced.
Today, Lodge Group of Schools operate under four entities:-
- Lodge Kindergarten (Tadika Lodge T.1006)
- Lodge Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Lodge SRS.1008)
- Lodge Secondary School (Sekolah Menengah Lodge SMS.1020)
- Lodge International School (Sekolah Antarabangsa Lodge SAS.1013)
Historical Timeline
| 1953 December 2 | Approval to set up Lodge Preparatory School at The Masonic Lodge, Jalan Batu Lintang, Kuching to cater for the education of expatriate children. |
| 1960 | Lodge Preparatory School relocated to Sarawak Club. Locals were allowed to enrol. |
| 1967 | School relocated to a rented wooden house at the corner of Nanas Road and Palm Road. |
| 1969 | Lodge Preparatory School was again relocated to the house at Pearse Road which it occupied until 1985. |
| 1984 | The construction of a permanent site for Lodge Junior School at Tabuan Jaya started. Ministry of Education approved the registration of Sekolah Rendah Lodge in October 1984. |
| 1985 | First intake of one class of Tahun 1 students. Construction of Lodge Junior School, housing Lodge Kindergarten and Sekolah Rendah Lodge was completed on 4th September 1985. |
| 1991 | Lodge Secondary School started its operation at Lodge Junior School, Tabuan Jaya. |
| 1993 | Construction of Lodge Secondary School at Tabuan Desa started. The school presented the first batch of 14 candidates for the PMR Examination. |
| 1995 | The construction of Lodge Secondary School was completed. The first batch of 11 candidates from Sekolah Menengah Lodge sat for the SPM examination. |
| 2001 | Lodge International School adopted the British National Curriculum. |
| 2004 | Construction of Lodge Primary and Lodge Kindergarten began. |
| 2005 | New building for Lodge Primary and Lodge Kindergarten completed in August 2005 |
| 2006 | Lodge International School started its first class of Cambridge A level. Sekolah Rendah Lodge and Kindergarten moved into new premise. |
| 2007 | The restructuring of the administration of Lodge Group of Schools with a Director overseeing the operation of Lodge Group of Schools. |
| 2009 | Extension of Lodge International School commenced in March and was completed in December 2009 |
