1. SCHOOL TERM 2013
1.1 The school terms for the year 2013 are as follows :
1st Term : 2 January – 22 March (58 days)
1st Term Break : 23 – 31 March (9 days)
2nd Term : 1 April – 24 May (40 days)
Mid Year Break : 25 May – 9 June (16 days)
3rd Term : 10 June – 6 August (42 days)
3rd Term Break : 7 – 18 August (12 days)
4th Term : 19 August – 15 November (65 days)
Year End Break : 16 November 2013 – 1 January 2014 (47 days)

3. OCCASIONAL & REPLACEMENT HOLIDAYS
3.1 The school will take two occasional holidays for Chinese New Year on 13 & 14 February 2013 and one replacement holiday on 15 February 2013 to be replaced on Saturday, 11 May 2013.
3.2 Two other occasional holidays will be taken on Monday, 5 August and Tuesday, 6 August, to enable students and teachers to have a longer Hari Raya break.
4. CHINESE TUITION CLASSES
4.1 The Chinese tuition will start on Tuesday, 8 January 2013. Please register your child by Friday, 4 January and pay the fees as soon as possible.
4.2 The Chinese tuition class schedule is as follows :

5. PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES & MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES
5.1 School Fees are due for payment 4 times per year. The last date for payment of fees are as follows :
1st Term - Thursday, 31 January 2013
2nd Term - Thursday, 28 March 2013
3rd Term - Friday, 28 June 2013
4th Term - Monday, 30 September 2013
6. PERSONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE
6.1 The present Personal Accident Insurance by AIA will expire on 31 January 2013. Please complete and return the attached renewal form and the premium of RM20.00/RM30.00 (Please choose) to the school before Monday, 7 January 2013. The insurance coverage is from 1 February 2013 to 31 January 2014.
7. LUNCH
7.1 It is advisable for all students to buy their lunch from the school canteen. However, students who want to go home for lunch are required to apply for a Lunch Pass by filling in Borang A which is to be returned by Monday 7, January 2013.
7.2 Students are not allowed to go out for lunch unless fetched by their parents.
7.3 Lunches are to be taken only in the school canteen, NOT inside classrooms or inside parked cars.
7.4 Because of the shortage of seats, parents are kindly reminded that all seats in the school canteen are reserved for students during meal times.
8. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES [ECA]
8.1 ECA is very important as it provides an avenue for wholesome character building and education.
8.2 All students are REQUIRED to take part in ECA.
8.3 Uniformed Bodies activities are compulsory to all secondary school students.
8.4 Students choose to participate in ECA [Sports] by filling Borang B (Application and payment for Extra-Curricular Activities 2013). Completed Borang B is to be returned to the Form Teacher by Friday, 4 January 2013.
8.5 ECA [Sports] will begin on Monday, 7 January 2013.
8.6 Every student is encouraged to participate in at least one sport.
8.7 The fees for Taekwondo Club has been increased to RM65.00 per term.
9. SAFETY & SECURITY IN SCHOOL
9.1 Parents are reminded to display their security passes when they visit the school.
9.2 The school’s gate will be closed at the following times :
Primary School : 8.30 – 11.00 am
1.30 – 3.00 pm
5.00 pm – 6.00 am
Secondary / International School : 8.00 – 11.30 am
1.00 – 3.15 pm
6.00 pm – 6.00 am
10. “GO GREEN” PROJECT
10.1 The “Go Green” Project, started in 2010 will be continued in 2013.
10.2 The school urges parents to support our “Go Green” Project by :
a) using only bio-degradable plastic bags.
b) not using Styrofoam food containers for packaging food.
c) switching off car engines when parked inside school compound.
11. SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS
11.1 The school’s examination [except for A Level students] will be held as follows :
Mid Year : 7 – 11 May 2013
End-of Year : 21 – 25 October 2013
11.2 The school will no longer conduct “replacement examinations” for those who miss school examinations EXCEPT when the students are away on official duties representing the school.
11.3 There will be Students Progress Test in March and early August. The results will only be posted in Lodge Information System [LIS].
12. SCHOOL DISCIPLINE / ATTENDANCE / DAILY REVISION / HOMEWORK
12.1 An orderly environment and good discipline are pre-requisites for successful learning. Discipline reflects respect for the school, the teachers and staff, and other students.
12.2 Please ensure that your children know and adhere to all rules especially pertaining to attire, personal appearance, punctuality and respect for other students, teachers and the staff.
12.3 As unnecessary absenteeism will affect achievement, please ensure that your child comes to school everyday. If your child is sick or unable to attend school for any reason, a sick certificate or letter explaining the absence must be submitted to the class teacher.
12.4 Daily revision of at least 2 hours is recommended. There should be no distraction like TV or computer games during such time. Please ensure all homework is completed.
13. WAITING AREAS FOR PARENTS
13.1 To avoid unnecessary disturbances and to ensure the safety of the students during lesson times, the corridors along the classrooms are out-of-bound to all except school staff.
13.2 Classrooms are out-of-bound to outsiders once the lesson starts.
13.3 The waiting areas for parents are as follows :
a) International School : Office foyer and school canteen
b) National Primary : Ground floor entrance foyer
c) National Secondary : General office foyer
14. PICKING UP STUDENTS
14.1 As all our staff, except the school’s night watchman, will finish working by 5 pm , the school requests that all students be picked up by 5 pm.
14.2 The gates at Lodge National Primary School will be closed by 5 pm. Primary School students going home after 5 pm will have to wait at the foyer of Lodge National Secondary School.
