also training themselves as leaders with good management skills by organising
various activities. Some of these activities involved collecting sponsorship
and donations for charity. Here are some highlights of activities our students
took part in and the awards they earned.

3. Staff Matters
In the National Secondary
School, Carrie Chai has resigned and she will be leaving on 29th May
2015. Her position will be replaced by Vandella Micheal. Wilhemenia Bungan Jinggong is leaving on 22nd
May 2015. We are in the process of finalising
a suitable candidate to fill her position.
In the International School,
Michelle Kho is going on maternity leave plus an extended month of unpaid
leave. Wee Ying Thing will be the relief
teacher for her until 24th July 2015.
Kang Hye In (Korean) who is a
former student of the International School joined the staff on 6th
April 2015 after completing her education degree in Australia, replacing
Norviviana Hassan who had left at the beginning of the year.
Suzzanlan Gusen who works as a
cleaner left on 31st March 2015 and Domicasican Nedy had been
recruited to fill her place as from 1st April 2015.
4. 4. Students’
Matters
a. Punctuality and Class Attendance
We
appreciate the effort of parents in sending their children to school early so
that our lessons can proceed without interruptions. But lately there are still
some cases of children coming late or leaving early which disrupt the smooth
running of lessons in the School. We seek your co-operation to help us improve
this situation.
b. Completion of Home Work
We request the co-operation of
parents to monitor your children in completing their home work or project-work.
This is an important aspect in our present system of education. School Based
Assessment will need our teachers to record work completion of students
continuously.
