CIRCULAR NO.        : 06/DIR/13

SUBJECT                   : Circular to Parents – March 2013

1.      The school continues to impress upon the students the importance of wholesome character development, which means that intellectual development and excellent performance are important but must go hand in hand with other pursuits particularly the development of soft skills, caring attitude, and ethical behaviour.   It has been stressed in the assemblies that a safe and healthy physical, social and psychological environment must be maintained and that all students must uphold and observe healthy practices such as civility, and respect for one another and the staff.

2.      Discipline

i.       Coming to school late:  some students still come to school late for various reasons.   Parents are reminded to ensure that their children reach the school and be in class before 7.30 am

ii.      Serious offences have also occurred, for example smoking.    The school will continue to be vigilant to ensure that similar offences will be stopped.   Parents are also reminded to check on their children’s behaviour so that questionable habits may be discovered earlier before they become difficult to stop.

3.      School Uniforms

It is noted that most students are now wearing the right school shoes, which is white.  Shoes with thin, black/coloured lines are alright, but those with large coloured – or multi-coloured stripes are not allowed.   Please be reminded that proper white stockings must also be worn.  Thank you for co-operating with the school.

4.      Security & Security Pass

A teacher lost her hand bag in a theft case in the school on 28th February.  The culprit was seen but it was around 4.00 pm (ie peak hours) and the guards thought that he was a parent.  The school has already identified his image through our CCTV and will make a police report.  To ensure better security in future, please note that parents coming to the school are requested to wear your security pass for identification purposes when necessary.

Note:  All parents who do not yet possess this security pass are requested to collect the application form from any of our schools immediately or download the application form from our website: www.lodgeschool.edu.my and submit this together with a copy of your and your spouse’s/driver’s passport-sized photographs within 1 week of the date of this circular for us to make the pass.
